“The more days pass, the less chance there is to find a solution regarding the future of Alma Juventus Fano”. This is how sports councillor Alberto Santorelli judges these continuous postponements by the president of the Granata club Salvatore Guida to settle the accounts of the last season, in particular those with the players and coaches. The next meeting at the headquarters with the latter, in fact, is scheduled for Wednesday 3 July, that is, the day before the opening of the terms for submitting the repechage application. The president has always reiterated that he wants to meet his commitments and that in his opinion “this alarmism is completely unjustified, because there is time until 8 July to submit the repechage application, assuming that one wants to do so”, but as also written yesterday, the municipal administration of Fano is watching very carefully what is happening to Alma, in the name of a supreme collective interest given that the company represents in some way the image of the city. “President Guida is free to manage the club as he sees fit – continues the sports councilor Santorelli – but since the world began, regardless of the various formal deadlines, a football season ends on June 30th of each year. So, having arrived at June 30th, we ask Guida what he intends to do: whether he is able to pay the players and then continue with the registration for the next championship or whether he is not able to do so and therefore intends to sell the club to avoid going bankrupt”. The Panthers ’77 group also asks Guida to leave the club – through various banners that appear and disappear in some parts of the city – but it is clear that even in this last case the question of the relationship with the previous owner would arise, namely Mario Russo who is still present in Fano with the Accademia Granata. To avoid all this, President Guida should send a clear signal of his intentions within the next week and the signal that the municipal administration expects is to settle accounts with the players.
