In these hours the Carabinieri of the ROS, supported by the Provincial Commands of Teramo, Pescara, Fermo, Ascoli Piceno, Brescia and Perugia and in coordination with the Landeskriminalamt of North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany), the Udyco Central of the Policia Nacional (Spain), the Police Judiciaire Fédérale of Mons (Belgium) and the Anti-narcotics Department of the National Police of Ukraine, are executing 14 precautionary measures, in Italian provinces and abroad.
Provisions issued by the GIP of the Courts of L’Aquila and Teramo, at the request of the DDA of L’Aquila and the Ordinary Prosecutor’s Office of Teramo respectively, against 14 people held responsible, in various capacities, for “Association aimed at the illicit trafficking of narcotic or psychotropic substances” and “Illicit production, trafficking and possession of narcotic or psychotropic substances”, belonging to and connected to an organization operating in the national territory, in Germany and in Spain, with further contacts in Belgium and in Ukraine.
The ongoing activity is the result of complex and prolonged investigations by the ROS, coordinated by the DDA of L’Aquila, following which the existence of an organised structure dedicated to the international trafficking of narcotics was documented, also revealing the methods of supply of the narcotics that arrived in Italy from Spain.
The details of the operation will be made known during a press conference to be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Provincial Carabinieri Command in L’Aquila.
