There are 1,330 of them financiers who have already reached the locations of destination in the first 6 months of 2024, at the end of the period of training at the Corps’ Educational Institutes. To these, by the end of the year, another 1,762 will be added militaryincluding inspectors and financial police, for a total of 3,092 units overall.
An important figure which exceeds by 554 units the number of financiers who, in 2024, will have to leave active service to reach the age limits (2,538 in total).
The assignments
Of the 1,330 yellow flames already assigned to the departments, 20 are military dog handlers, while 159 are financiers of the Anti-Terrorism and Emergency Employment (ATPI), the special component of the Corps engaged in anti-terrorism activities, combating illicit trafficking and contributing to the maintenance of public order and safety. To the latter, better known as “Green Basques”, another 72 will be added by the end of the year, currently in the specialization phase. Finally, as many as 232 are part of the “sea” sector and have already reached the air and naval departments of the Guardia di Finanza, the only Italian “sea police” since 2016, as a result of the Legislative Decree. 177. The territorial departments located in the main Italian provinces have benefited in particular from the new additions of young financiers: Milan (+29 units), Rome (+58), Naples (+9) Palermo (+27), Florence ( +12), Bologna (+17) e Bari (+11).
