The footballers will meet in Lecce between 8 and 11 July, the departure for Austria, direction Neustift, is scheduled for the 14th

The transfer market officially began yesterday, July 1st, but not only that. Lecce has also released the list of players called up who will take part in the preparation for the 2024/2025 season. The players under contract have been called up to the headquarters, but with a new development. “The players, in order to better optimize the work of the technical, medical and trainer areas, will be divided into two groups,” reads the club’s note. “The first will meet on Monday, July 8th, while the second will meet on Thursday, July 11th.” The players called up will first undergo medical examinations at the BioLab facility in Cutrofiano and then field tests at the Acaya Golf Resort & Spa. “On the morning of Sunday, July 14th, the technical staff and players will move to Neustift (Austria), the site of the pre-season retreat, where the first training session is scheduled for the afternoon at the Ssv Neustift – Stadion.” Two groups of players called up, therefore, for two types of players. Those belonging to the main squad and those in excess, therefore leaving or in any case under evaluation. It was said, a few days ago, that the Lecce squad, at the moment, is quite substantial and that there will be a need to dispose of and in this sense the call-ups clarify.

First group

Three goalkeepers belong to the first group: in addition to Falcone and Fruchtl, the Finnish Samooja. Among the defenders, Baschirotto, Esposito (Primavera aggregated to the First team), Kialonda and Pongracic stand out among the central defenders, and Addo Vernon (a 2005, Primavera aggregated to the First team), Dorgu, Gallo and Gendrey. Venuti is out and in, in addition to Esposito, who confirms himself, Addo Vernon who will be Gendrey’s deputy. Among the midfielders, Berisha, Blin, Gonzalez, Kaba, McJannet (also Primavera until last championship), Pierret, Rafia and Ramadani. Among the offensive wingers, Banda, Tete Morente, Oudin, Pierotti. Finally, among the attackers, only Krstovic.

Second group

They belong to the second group, among the goalkeepers Borbei, Brancolini and Viola. Among the central defenders Smajlovic, among the wingers Lemmens and Venuti. In the midfielders Faticanti, Helgason, Maleh and Samek. Among the offensive wingers Corfitzen, Daka (also Primavera aggregated to the First Team), Salomaa and Listkowski. Finally, among the attackers, Burnete, Rodriguez, Sansone, Voelkerling Persson. Therefore, Sansone, protagonist of last championship, and the Spaniard Rodriguez would not be included in the company’s plans. These are just suppositions, let’s be clear. Because the distinction into two groups is not significant, officially, of anything precise.

Exceptions

Exception for Banda and Krstovic who, taking advantage of a permit from the club, will join the group on Sunday 14 July, while the players coming from the European Championships, Ramadani, Berisha and Pongracic, will reach the retreat on Saturday 20 July. The injured Corfitzen and Kaba will continue on their individual recovery path from their respective injuries, as stated in the press release.
