Sestri Levante. As part of the summer festival “Discovering Leudo”, on Monday 1, Saturday 6 and Saturday 20 July, Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 August and Saturday 14 September from 4 pm there will be a special activity for families organized by the Educational Services of the Solidarietà e Lavoro Cooperative, in collaboration with the MuSel Archaeological and City Museum and the Amici del Leudo association.
The “journey” will begin in the museum rooms in the company of a museum operator, who will tell the story of the town and its profound connection with the sea with legends and period photos. After the visit, a short walk will follow in the alley, until arriving at the port, where the Friends of the Leudo will accompany the participants on the visit of the last sailing leudo in Liguria: the New Help of God. Revealing the secrets of this small sailing ship, the association will show the children the technique for making marine knots, which facilitate the use of on-board tools.
Participation costs €8 for adults, €6 for children aged 5 to 12 and requires a mandatory reservation by the day before. The meeting point will be at the MuSel ticket office, in Palazzo Fascie, in largo Colombo 50.
