Grosseto. Open-air cinema returns to MolinoHub: dfrom July 1st to July 3rd, at 9.15pm, it’s scheduled “CineMolino”a review dedicated to documentaries with current affairs.

The initiative, carried out by Maremma digital media library, is designed byAssociation Kansasites Aps in collaboration with the Clorofilla Film festival and the Clan association, with the contribution of the Mic and the Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze Foundation.

“CineMolino” is a review that wants to pay homage to documentary cinema and at the same time address some current issues to reflect on the contradictions of our present: from intensive farming to “Food for Profit” by Giulia Innocenzi and Pablo D’Ambrosi, which addresses the issues of the meat industry, lobbies and political power; Junk closets full”, a TV series by Matteo Ward that takes us on a journey through different countries to understand the impact on the environment and on people of the overproduction and overconsumption of clothing and footwear; finally “Mur”, Kasia Smutniak’s courageous and radical debut on the devastating consequences of a sovereignist and intolerant government that tells us about the 186 kilometer wall built on the border between Poland and Belarus with the aim of rejecting migrants seeking asylum. The event will end with the award ceremony for the best winning film of the Clorofilla Film Festival.

“CineMolino” will take place in the suggestive location MolinoHub, the windmill of the Medici Walls, from 1st to 3rd July at 9.15pm.

Every evening, special guests will open and comment on the films, helping the public to develop a constructive debate on the proposed themes.

The program

The program of “CineMolino” 2024:

  • July 1st “Food for profit”, by Giulia Innocenzi and Pablo D’Ambrosi, with the participation of Anonymous for the Voiceless and Pietro Ceciarini of the association Le Vie;
  • July 2nd “Junk wardrobes full”, by Matteo Ward, with the participation of Corinna Brezzi, of the Le Vie association, Valeria Schiavetti, of Mano Viva; Giada Breschi, of the Clan association;
  • July 3 “Mur” by Kasia Smutniak.

Followed by the Clorofilla Film Festival awards ceremony.

Entrance with a Clan or Kansassìti member card (it is possible to purchase a card at a cost of 5 euros on the day of the event).
