“Rete”, the project for young people looking for work, also arrives in Novara

The help desk that helps young people train and enter the world of work has also opened in Novara. The territorial hub that is part of the “Rete” project, dedicated to young people between 16 and 35 who want to improve their skills to enter the world of work, was inaugurated yesterday, Friday 28 June.

Promoted by the Minister for Sport and Youth Andrea Abodi, through the Department for Youth Policies and Universal Civil Service, the “Rete” project aims to build a bridge between young people and the business world, to accompany and guide young people towards job opportunities, including self-employment, reducing the mismatch between school, university and the production system.

The “Rete” project, created with the development agency Invitalia, is aimed at young people who: attend secondary school or have a high school diploma; attend or have obtained an ITS qualification; attend university or have a degree; are unemployed or looking for work; are aspiring entrepreneurs.

After Nuoro, Verona and Salerno, Minister Abodi, in collaboration with Invitalia and the Municipality of Novara as lead body, inaugurated the Novara hub, which found its home at Casa della Porta, the fourth of the 12 spaces planned throughout the country for orientation and training, which constitute the heart of the “Rete” project.

In addition to Minister Abodi, the presentation of the project was also attended by the councilors for Youth Policies and Sport and the deputy mayor of the Municipality of Novara, Teresa Armienti, Ivan De Grandis and Marina Chiarelli, and the head of Incentives and Innovation of Invitalia Luigi Gallo . Chiara Gambaro also participated, sole administrator of the company Bios Laboratori Srl of Novara, testimonial and entrepreneur who, thanks to the incentives for female entrepreneurship managed by Invitalia, was able to purchase new machinery and hire 2 young people in her microbiological and chemical analysis laboratory .

The Novara hub has fashion, green chemistry and mechatronics as its territorial vocation. It is a place designed to welcome young people from the whole region, where it is possible to take stock of skills and define one’s own professional development path, but also to acquire or improve employment skills, follow specific training courses to become an entrepreneur, develop a business idea and deepen the knowledge of the incentives for the creation and development of productive activities. The proposed activities involve the use of innovative and highly experiential methodologies in order to actively involve young people. The activities are conducted in collaboration with other local bodies, such as schools, training institutes, universities, the Chamber of Commerce, trade associations, innovative companies in the Piedmont area and university incubators.
