The annual gathering of the International Committee of Voga alla Veneta, this year organized by Canottieri Sile, concluded with regattas aboard the mascarete, typical Venetian rowing boats. Great enthusiasm from the numerous guests from England, Germany, Austria, Holland and France, who in these days were able to admire the beauty of the area accompanied by the Treviso friends of the Sile. Thursday 27th the cruise of the caorline to Lio Piccolo with a food and wine stop at the “Notturno”, Friday 28th the cruise on the Sile sealed by the gala dinner at the Odeon and Saturday 29th the mascareta regattas for men’s double, women’s double and mixed double. For the President of Canottieri Massimo Donadon: “The event turned out to be a real success, our guests appreciated the beauty of our river and the elegance of the city in a context of friendship and passion for this sporting discipline that is renewed every year”. Also present at the awards ceremony was the sports councilor of Treviso Alessandro Manera who emphasized how these initiatives contribute to making the Treviso area even more visible in the world, for this he thanked the Canottieri Sile and its management. But returning to the regattas, the most “popular” was the one formed by a mixed male-female crew that saw a Dutch couple win.
