A 53-year-old Italian man was arrested in Sorano (GR) for the crime of armed robbery, committed in Viterbo last June 12. The man had been an accomplice in the robbery against the employees of the EWA fuel distributor, for which another responsible person had already been arrested the same day, stopped at the Roma Nord motorway barrier while still on the run.
The investigations carried out by the Viterbo policemen, immediately after the arrest of the first robber, made it possible to collect useful elements of evidence against the person arrested today for the Viterbo Public Prosecutor’s Office, which coordinates the investigations. In the same order, the confirmation of the precautionary measure of house arrest, initially issued by the Judge of Rome towards the first arrested person, was then ordered and executed.
In addition, both will be given an electronic bracelet. Further investigations are underway to identify any other perpetrators of the crime.
