Reaching the North Cape by motorbike as every biker dreams; raising the flag of the Forlì Firefighters’ Motorcycle Club at the highest point in Europe; meeting colleagues from foreign cities along the way, exchanging ideas with them, establishing relationships and promoting the hospitality of the province of Forlì-Cesena. With these goals, Giuseppe (Pino) Loberto, a retired firefighter engineer, set off on 18 June for the far north of the European continent. Over 10,500 kilometres in a month of travel between Italy, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland and Austria, amidst scenic beauties of all kinds. With him are his friends Stefano Conti from Rimini and Germano Ciani, a volunteer firefighter from Bologna.

“The idea was born – says Loberto – because last year I was supposed to do a long trip on Route 66 in the United States, which was then cancelled. This year I told myself that I had to make one of the dreams that every biker wants to make come true, that is, North Cape and Route 66. I’m traveling with a Bmw R1200 Gs more versatile for travel and mountains. We met with Stefano and Germano and we planned the trip for over a year to prepare the stages”.

The arrival at the North Cape is scheduled for Monday, where Loberto will raise the flag of the Forlì Fire Brigade Motoclub.
