Brianza also speaks there swimming crossing of the Strait of Messinaorganized by ASD Colapesce Primo, which took place on Sunday morning, June 30. Eight open water swimming enthusiasts from Alserio, Biassono, were also ready for the event. Casatenovo, Monticello Brianza e Santa Maria Hoe: Andrea Motta, Francesca Brenna, Luca Bonfanti, Isabella Battini, Elena Parravicini, Simone Airoldi, Cecco Zanalda and Anna Crus (supporter and photographer), joined by Giorgia Cairoli (met precisely in the adventure of the Strait).
Their friend Carlo Costantini and his wife Monica were unable to physically be there due to Carlo’s health problem. He wasn’t there, yes, but it’s as if he were with the others at every stroke, with double the cheering for him.
Together they braved waves and currents for 3,600 meters, from the Reggio shore to the Messina shore, in about an hour and twenty minutes. The participants were lucky to find excellent weather conditions in a sea of stupendous colors.
The Brianza group trains at the Barzanò pool, but as soon as possible they move to the open air in the Larian waters, near Moregallo. In the past they used to use the Segrino Lake in the Province of Como.
Yesterday’s crossing is not the company’s first undertaking. He participated in similar events in Formentera and Bergeggi, in Liguria, for Swim the Island. The next adventure in Mallorca is already planned, to still share being together in a healthy and fun way.
