Enrico Melassecche, regional transport councilorcommented on the excellent market response to the tender as follows: “The even fierce criticism of those who claimed the impossibility of participating in the tender called by the Council in view of a complete renewal of the public transport, peremptorily requested by the Court of Auditors, receives a first partial response in the number of packages received, the punctual verification of which will in any case take place as soon as possible. The legislative project to bring the management of public transport to regularity, modernizing it, making it more efficient and proportionally less expensive, while guaranteeing, as widely known to the unions, no layoffs, thanks to the strengthened social clause, in addition to the certainty of the collective contract of the bus, tram and rail workers and the company supplementary contract, is proceeding regularly. I have also been attacked on a personal and political level but the legacy that the Tesei council had to take on in 2019, which produced a flood of debt and very little efficiency, could no longer weigh on the entire regional community“.
