Arezzo – The Passioni Festival closes the week in the Fortezza with the arrival of two other super guests from the world of Italian culture and journalism. At 3.30pm it’s time for the writer and teacher Eraldo Affinati, who will talk with Andrea Matucci to present his latest book published by Gramma Feltrinelli “Le città del mondo”. Affinati, a skilled lecturer and trainer, as well as a refined writer, in 2008 he founded together with his wife Anna Luce Lenzi the Penny Wirton School for the free teaching of the Italian language to migrants. On 7 May 2021 he was appointed Commander of the Italian Republic for on its own initiative by President Sergio Mattarella.

Buriano Bridge – Carlotta Dalia’s guitar and Giuseppe Gibboni’s violin, the first violinist who in 2021 brought the prestigious “Paganini Prize” back to Italy after 24 years, will be the protagonists of the unmissable concert on Saturday 29 June at 6:30 pm on the suggestive Buriano bridge, which according to some art historians is depicted in the famous Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, for a program consisting of the Sonata in E minor for violin and guitar and Caprices 5-24 for violin by Niccolò Paganini, The Devil’s Trill for violin and guitar by Giuseppe Tartini, the Arab Capriccio for guitar by Francisco Tarrega, the Gran Solo Op. 14 for guitar by Fernando Sor and Histoire du tango (I-II-III) by Astor Piazzolla.
