The yellow vests of public order are ready to return to the streets of Cattolica. They are the Street Tutors, the so-called mediators of civil coexistence, a team of men and women trained ad hoc, charged with monitoring the places of the Regina movida and monitoring and intervening in case of any critical situations.

The Street Tutors will take to the streets again from July 5th onwards, on the occasion of the Pink Night. During the events of wider appeal, such as the Pink Night, there will be four of them walking around the city, always recognizable with their yellow vests and “Street Tutor” writing. The other days two will work. The service will be intensified and will remain operational until the end of August. Their activity supports the police, requesting their intervention in the event of more critical situations.

“So the Street Tutors are back, one of the pieces of our security plan for Cattolica – explains the councilor for the municipal police Claudia Gabellini –. They are part of a project funded by the Emilia-Romagna Region which, in addition to Street Tutors and street educators, also emphasizes the redevelopment of the meeting spaces on which the Administration is working. For us, security is fundamental, we are doing a great job of strengthening the city. The project is designed to give back to the community, to Cattolica residents and tourists, important areas of Cattolica making them usable and more liveable. It is designed with an integrated urban security perspective, which combines the control of the police forces of mediators with video surveillance but also with urban redevelopment and prevention through youth education. This integrated planning approach has received the appreciation of the Emilia-Romagna Region, this is demonstrated by the contribution made”, concludes councilor Gabellini.
