CITY COUNCIL – Friday 28 June 2024 at 8:30 pm on the Darsena di San Paolo (via Darsena 57, Ferrara) and online
The first meeting of the new City Council convened by the newly elected mayor of Ferrara Alan Fabbri it took place Friday 28 June 2024 at 8.30pm in Darsena open space of San Paolo, at the Wunderkammer Consortium, in via Darsena 57 in Ferrara.
The work plan of the public session, also broadcast in audio-video streaming on institutional channels (ConsigliCloud), included the discussion of the practices provided for by the electoral law and the consolidated text of local authorities (267 of 2000).
By explicit regulatory obligation, the first session is in fact dedicated to the validation of those elected, the election of the president and vice-president of the City Council, and the election of the members of the electoral commission.
The initial phase of the council meeting was chaired by Valentina Loredana Ionitaof the Civica Fabbri group, so-called “elderly” councilor with the highest electoral figure (resulting from the sum of the list votes and the preference votes).
These are the topics covered:
1. Electoral consultation 08/09 June 2024 relating to the direct election of the Mayor and the Municipal Council – Validation of elected officials carried out by open vote.
2. Replacements for resigning municipal councilors Silvia Fabbri (Civica Fabbri) and Giacomo Gelmi (Civica Fabbri) with open election of Aurora Principe (Fabbri Civic) and Brando Sarto (Civic Fabbri).
3. Application of Federico Fried (FdI) to the role of President of the City Council, elected by secret ballot (31 votes out of 32, one blank ballot).
Application for Anna Chiappini (PD) to the role of Vice President of the Municipal Council, elected by secret ballot (32 votes out of 32).
4. Mayor’s oath.
5. Communication from the Mayor regarding the appointment of the members of the Municipal Council.
6. Communication of the names of the Presidents of the council groups.
7. Election of the Municipal Electoral Commission by secret ballot: effective members Luca Caprini (Civic Fabbri), Andrea Ferrari (FdI) e Matteo Proto (PD). Substitute members Stefano Perelli (Lega), Diletta D’Andrea (FI), Leonardo Fiorentini (Civic Anselmo)
