Bergamini Trial: Sentence Postponed to Autumn

Sled in fall the sentence of the process for the death of Denis Bergaminithe Ferrarese footballer of Cosenza, which took place on November 18, 1989 in Roseto Capo Spulicoalong the SS106 Jonica.

Initially planned for the 19 or 24 Julythe final word on the procedure is expected for October 1st because of abstention from hearings and from any judicial activity of criminal lawyersat national level, for the days July 10, 11 and 12.

Without abstention, the discussion of the process it should have been held starting from July 8thwhen the time had been set requisites del pm Luca Primicerio.

According to the new program, drawn up in the last few hours by Judge Paola Lucente, who presides over the Assize Court, the prosecutor will speak on September 19th and 20thwhile the 23 and 24 September it will be up to the lawyers of the Bergamini family, Fabio Anselmo, Silvia Galeone and Alessandra Pisa.

Next, the September 26th and 30thit will be the turn of the lawyers Angela Pugliese, Rossana Cribari and Pasquale Marzocchi, defense lawyers of Isabella Internò, the only defendant accused of voluntary homicide in collaboration with unknown persons.

The sentence then in three months, the October 1stafter two and a half years of hearings – sixty in all – and thirty-five years of waiting.
