StraDeejay: Piazza Stradivari is dancing, more than 6 thousand in the centre

CREMONA – City celebrating with StraDeejay, symbolic (and hot!) opening of the Summer Thursdays organized by the Center Shops. Piazza Stradivari invaded by more than four thousand people (plus another 2 thousand in the surrounding streets) for the Flower Power evening. «A round of applause for the sun that came for StraDeejay» jokes Andrea Marquisesreferring to the uncertain weather of the past few days.

The evening, presented by Marchesi together with Michael Mainardithe Cremonese voices of Radio Deejay, saw over 40 DJs take turns on stage, including the special guest Mario Fargetta who presented his new remix of the famous song Figli delle Stelle, and the young man DJ Kharfi. Opening the evening was the very young singer TK, stage name of Tommaso Of the Bonewhich, presented to Carlo Ferrarisang his two singles, Venere and Slide in the club.

Great start with Renato Frattolillo, aka Febbo, protagonist of the Cremonese hip hop of the nineties, with the famous song dedicated to Cremona, Big Cream, as well as a historical presence of the event, now in its sixth edition. After singing his piece with Marchesi on the console, he announces, improvising in beatbox, the first deejays on stage.

We start with a series of songs from the Seventies and Eighties with Claudio Tedesco. This is followed by the first public greeting of the new mayor of Cremona, Andrea Virgilio: «A beautiful square like our city. The city of music is also this: it gives opportunities to young people and to the people of Cremona».

Then a flurry of forty DJs to recall the glories of the years of the ‘flower children’ and the years of great music that followed.. Closing in the name of young people, with the guys from Ape-Sì at the console. Crowded square. Thousands of them, including young people and families. In fact, there is something for all ages: from the ‘TK crew’, as Marchesi calls it, made up of dozens of Dell’Osso fans and friends, and the many ‘older’ ones who were able to remember some of the biggest hits of past decades, from Dancing Queen to Toto’s Africa, and many successes from the Seventies onwards.

Among the sponsors, in addition to the historic Bossoni, this year also features Volkswagen, along with other interesting and young collaborations, including vegetarian street food stalls. A very hot evening refreshed by the enthusiasm of artists and audience.
