Gota Beach in Trani hosts the first of Corona’s Sunsets Sessions, with Sebastiano Lillo and Mista P

The first appointment of Corona Sunsets Sessions arrives on June 30th in Trani, in the spaces of Gota Beach, an exclusive event with activities, food, beverage and great music, thanks to the DJ set by Mista P and the live music of Sebastiano Lillo 4tet .

From 6.30pm the terrace which directly overlooks the seafront will be transformed into an unrepeatable experience to best enjoy the aperitif with the iconic beer (also non-alcoholic, Corona Cero): an atmosphere of relaxation, a moment of disconnection from the daily routine, with also photo opportunities, gadgets and a corner dedicated to face painting (all details available at: https://corona-extra.it/eventi). Obviously there will be no shortage of music: Mista P is the talented performer with explosive sounds who over the course of his career has curated the open acts of Club Dogo, Marracash and Salmo, Fat Joe, MOP, KRS-One and Central Cee. Instead, the Apulian guitarist and producer Sebastiano Lillo will bring his successes live, including «El Verano Eterno», a digital 45 (also available on 7-inch vinyl, limited edition) released on June 7th for Trulletto Records/Believe Music Italia, with inside the title track “El Verano Eterno (Charon)” and the instrumental “Nazca”.

«The African and world references of this work connect me with the sea, and there is the right synergy for the performance – Sebastiano Lillo tells Gazzetta on the eve of the live show in Trani – I will bring the repertoire put together over the last year, and some reinterpretations of songs that can allow you to dance and appreciate the sunset in the South. After all, the desert music that inspired me is part of the South of the world. After years of blues, soul, South American cumbia, Peruvian music, Turkish influences, I told myself that the Mediterranean is a perfect crossroads of cultures, and what we are looking for musically is close to home.”

Originally from Monopoli, Lillo chose to still live in Puglia and to found the Trulletto Records label here: «Many of us at some point decided to move, I did the opposite reasoning, I wanted to have courage and stay. It is a difficult area, it lives in summer and in winter it is more culturally abandoned, being there 365 days a year serves to demonstrate that it is not just a place for fun and events, but we produce culture. Then I travel around a lot, at the end of July I’ll leave again, I’ll be on tour, the important thing is always to establish synergies with those around us, to create bridges.” And to those who ask him for an ideal location to write his songs, he replies: «Whether it’s a seaside or rural place, it just needs to have a beautiful sunrise or a beautiful sunset to give an emotion».

After the appointment in Trani, Corona Sunsets Sessions will arrive on July 7th at Beky Bay in Igea Marina (RN) and on July 12th at Ultravox in Florence.
