The opposition takes stock of what the Aprilia municipal administration is doing just before the summer break. Aprilia Civica accuses the majority of having created – to date – “A city at a standstill”.
“A city at a standstill – says the civic coalition – from all points of view. Stopped with regards to ordinary maintenance, stopped from the point of view of administrative work and stopped with regards to programming.
In an unusual way, we are witnessing an incredible administrative stop. We are now at the 30-day mark without political activity. Without the convocation of a Commission or a City Council. Perhaps someone from Piazza Roma believes they have already arrived at August 15th. Let us remember that the August break is still several weeks away and that the city needs a government worthy of the name.
Some Commission presidents, following our work and the need to delve deeper into some topics of interest, had made the commitment to convene working sessions. To date we have not had any type of feedback, which is a sign that requires us to move forward independently.
To a weak majority, as the mayor also recently pointed out, is added an immobile and equally weak council.
All this while the City, simply taking a walk around, becomes increasingly dirtier, the streets become increasingly impassable and, week after week, we see the games dedicated to children in the municipal parks closed. After the closure of Manaresi, the Caduti di Cefalonia play area was also closed. It’s time to get to work. Right away. The city waits.”
