It will be a long summer that awaits Pistoiese FC. The orange club will in fact be called upon to set up a first-rate team to aim to win the championship which, also in light of what sporting director Taibi said on Wednesday, must be an objective to be pursued as early as this season. The owners are already at work and after having reached an agreement with Domenico Giacomarro, who will be the new coach, the focus is now on building the squad. The director stated that a good part of the players have already been blocked and that, when the summer transfer market opens, they will be put under contract. This will be possible starting from July 1st and until September 30th, as regards transfers between amateur clubs. As regards transfers to or from professional clubs, the deadline is set for 30 August. However, it is well known that the best deals, and above all the best players, must be put in the safe as soon as possible to avoid pranks by other teams.

Registration for the Serie D championship is also on Pistoiese’s agenda. The registration period, which must be formalized online, runs from 8 July to 6pm on 12 July. The clubs that submit the application will have to attach a series of documents as well as two bank transfers: one with the 31 thousand euros for the guarantee, the other containing the 16 thousand euros for the registration combined with some additional figures. Covisod will then evaluate the admissibility of the applications submitted and issue a verdict by 16 July.

Pistoiese will then leave on August 1st for the training camp in Porretta, where the team will carry out the first part of their preparation and play some friendly tests. The team will return to Pistoia on August 14th to carry out the final part of the pre-season and get closer to the start of the official season. The National Amateur League has announced that the championship will start on Sunday 8 September, while two weekends earlier, on 25 August, it will be the turn of the Italian Serie D Cup with the preliminary round, in which Pistoiese should not take part. Among other things, in all likelihood, it will be necessary to wait until the second half of August to find out the composition of the nine groups.
