Digital Facilitation services presented at Palazzo di Città – AndriaLive.it

They were presented yesterday morning, at Palazzo di Città, as part of the project “Digital facilitation services network”the 4 digital facilitation points that will be activated in Andria as part of the national measure 1.7.2 of the PNRR of the Department for Digital Transformation (DTD), which aims to create 231 digital facilitation points in the Puglia Region to reach by 2025 a total of 183,000 Apulian citizens, through training activities.

The digital facilitation point is a physical place in which Apulian citizens can be supported by digital facilitators in the use of the Internet and digital devices, or by expert people who support the development of basic digital skills in citizenship, contributing to inclusion of the population that does not yet have access to the internet and its services and by identifying the needs of individual citizens by providing them with support and guidance. They are active in our city four points of digital facilitation located at City Palace, the Tax Office in via Bari, la Municipal Library and Diocesan Librarymanaged by Readers’ Club and by the cooperative New prospectives.

The Councilor for the Future took part in the event Viviana di Leo: «We have received funding to open four digital facilitation points in Andria that are useful to citizens so that there is an ever greater approach to digital thanks also to facilitators who will be at their service to help them», Gigi Brandonisio, member of the Readers’ Club and Nicola Gammarrota, coordinator of the New Perspectives network: «The initiatives currently implemented include at least four gazebos during the summer period; the next one will be operational on June 28th in Viale Crispi, and on July 5th in Santa Maria Vetere.”

The aim of this project, as underlined by Brandonisio, is to “educate a part of the population that is not yet familiar with digital tools, which are increasingly useful also for accessing the services provided by the public administration” and to contribute to the achievement of the objective of 70% of the population with basic digital skills by 2026, with its conclusion on 31 December 2025.
