The 2024 edition of the School of Robotic Surgery is at the halfway point in Grosseto

Grosseto: The calendar has come to life advanced training offered by the School of Robotic Surgery of Grosseto.

The scientific director Andrea Coratti comments with satisfaction on the participation of Italian professionals, around 90 since the beginning of the year, as well as very high level teachers from all over the world, in particular from countries such as Taiwan, USA, United Kingdom and various European Union states and therefore also from Italy: «The School’s activity continued with the courses of the spring period. We have had some ultra-specialist courses with a great technical and scientific profile, with teachers of the highest level and international fame: our students greatly appreciated the organisation, the contents and the training opportunity. And many of them have asked to be able to come to Grosseto to continue their training path and to have our surgeons act as tutors in their hospitals – declares Andrea Coratti – The ‘Youth Project’ also continued, intended for young surgeons of the our region: a training path that is currently unique on the national scene and a source of pride for our School. I take this opportunity – concludes the scientific director – to thank all those who work with dedication, competence, and often sacrifice, to carry on the School’s activities. I also thank our Company Management, always present and active in supporting the reality of the School of Robotic Surgery.”

The training calendar opened in March with the «Basic course» and the meetings dedicated to the colorectal and the «ENT» course (ENT surgery) organized by Simone Boccuzzi; the «Hpb» course (ear, nose and throat surgery) recently concluded. liver, pancreas and biliary tract) and «Upper GI» (esophagus and stomach surgery) always with the participation of surgical specialists from various parts of the world, both in person and via remote connection. The next high level training appointments in robotic surgery will concern urology, cystectomy from 1st to 2nd July. After the summer break, the School of Robotic Surgery will resume on 21 and 22 October with a course dedicated to the colon and rectum and in November with a new edition of the basic course.
