There are 3 routes: 15 km for men, 10 km for women and 10 km for junior women and men. The race is valid as an Absolute, Promesse and Junior regional mountain running championship. For registrations, the Timing Run online portal is available until the deadline of June 28th.
The presentation of the initiative saw greetings from the mayor of Muccia Mario Baroni, from Roberto Lucarelli and Pietro Tapanelli, first citizens of Camerino and Sefro respectively and from the Sports councilor of the Municipality of Serravalle del Chienti, Alessandro Palombo.
«An edition that completes this territory, if we want to say so – explained the president of Cus Camerino, Stefano Belardinelli – We started from the Sefro square a few years ago. Last year we reached Camerino for the National University Championships, this year we have this beautiful route which mainly passes through Muccia but also touches Serravalle del Chienti. Having a welcoming area like ours, with very sensitive administrations and with technicians capable of organizing interesting itineraries, is an added value.”
montelago_eco_trail-2-325x244The traveling event, which over the years has touched the various municipalities represented, coincides with the 3rd Francesco “Paco” Gentilucci Memorial. Also present at the conference were Francesco’s sisters, Maria and Giorgia, who presented the trophies and the official jersey of this edition with Mayor Baroni and who read a beautiful text written by Francesco himself, which will be the manifesto of the race:
“Running taught me gratitude
Take what comes
If a storm comes, take water
If it snows, you get cold
If you are sad, experience sadness
If you’re in a crisis, live with it until it passes
Keep on running
I take everything that comes and accept it with gratitude
Joy, pain, anger, love, heat, cold
What you take is what you are
What you are is what you need.”
