Mauro Bonarrigo is the new general secretary of the CISL Fp Ragusa Siracusa. He was elected at the end of the General Council of the CISL federation representing public employees, meeting in Ragusa. The meeting was attended by the member of the national secretariat of the CISL FP, Angelo Marinelli, the secretary of the CISL FP Sicilia, Daniele Passanisi and the confederal secretary of the CISL Ragusa Siracusa, Vera Carasi. Bonarrigo, employee of the ASP of Syracuse, has maintained his delegation to Healthcare, the sector in which he grew up and was trained as a trade union, distinguishing himself for his high competence and ability to discuss and resolve high-level issues, but also for the constant presence and willingness to listen to workers.
Bonarrigo, member of the general secretariat, takes over from Daniele Passanisi, who has moved to the regional summit of the Federation. The new secretary will be supported by Sandra Farruggio, confirmed in the role of territorial secretary, and by Andrea Milici who will be the new member.
“I thank the CISL FP for the trust placed in me and all the members of the General Council who voted for me – explained Bonarrigo – recognizing that I have a delicate and highly responsible role of representation, which requires diplomatic ability and authority at the same time”. Continuity in local trade union activity, attention to the needs of public sector employees and strong dialogue with the social partners are the central points which in recent years have allowed CISL Fp to grow in the territories of Ragusa and Syracuse and which will be among the objectives indicated by Mauro Bonarrigo. “I feel gratified by the elective attribution of a position of such great importance – commented the new general secretary of the CISL Fp Ragusa Siracusa – but my awareness is equally strong that my investiture is the result of a shared path and collaboration with a mature and cohesive management group, which is increasingly strengthened by the many new people who actively join the union in the interest of improving the conditions of workers and public services. We are aware of being an advantaged community, because it is united by a sense of union belonging, ready to face the future challenges of public work because we will continue to invest in the training of our union leaders to increase their skills. It is this model of regeneration, of individuals and their preparation, that brings about the change. A participatory and democratic way of organizing a union, which has already seen us excel in the latest RSU competition in all sectors of the PA and which, given the trend of constant growth in membership, will certainly allow us to once again be protagonists of the next electoral round, in 2025, strengthened by our widespread presence in all workplaces, and always ready for dialogue and worker participation”. Best wishes for a continuation based on relaunch were reiterated by the outgoing secretary, Daniele Passanisi. “I wish Mauro and the new secretariat good work and I am sure – underlined Passanisi – that, together with the entire management group, they will carry forward a relaunch and renewal project in the name of continuity. In recent years we have built a strong union reality in the Ragusa-Syracuse area, where the terms of representation of our union acronym have grown dramatically and continue to increase, demonstrating the loyalty of workers who recognize themselves in the values and tangibility of the shares of CISL FP”.
