Caserta lands without water: collapsing agriculture, extensive damage

Caserta

After Coldiretti Caserta had sent a harsh note in recent hours, signed by the president Enrico Amico and the director Giuseppe Miselliwith respect to the serious shortcomings relating to the functioning of the irrigation systems, the meeting with the leaders of the Sannio Alifano Reclamation Consortium has recently concluded.

The director of Coldiretti Caserta, Giuseppe Miselli, brought to the table the requests of the Caserta farmers who, especially in these days of great heat, needed an efficient water service to avoid jeopardizing the life cycle of the land.

During the meeting, which was attended by the president of the Consortium Franco Della Roccathe director Natalizio and the technicians of the institution have detected difficulties which have caused the slowdown in water distribution.

Coldiretti Caserta was asked to organize local meetings to have the farmers explain what the problems are, so that the Sannio Alifano reclamation consortium can move more quickly.

“Satisfied with the meeting”, explained the director Giuseppe Miselli of Coldiretti Caserta. “We decided to move immediately to support the many farmers in the Caserta area who were experiencing these difficulties.”

In terms of meetings with farmers, Miselli invited Coldiretti members and others to participate “so that problems relating to irrigation can be resolved immediately”
