OFFICIAL | Mihaila extends with Parma: two-year renewal

Valentin Mihaila extend with the Parma. One of the two torments of the Crusader summer thus comes to an end: the Romanian in the number 28 shirt has renewed with the Crusader club.

The contract of the player born in Finta, still engaged with the Romania section at Euro2024, has been extended until 06.30.2027 with a’option for the 2027/2028 season.
After an exhausting negotiation, Parma managed to obtain that much desired signature on the contract. Now we are only waiting for the official announcement of his compatriot Dennis Man, but the prosecutor of both, Gigi Becali, had made it clear that it would only be a matter of hours (Click here).
For Mihăilă, therefore, the bond with Parma, which began with the yellow and blue colors in the autumn of 2020 – to be precise in October when he was purchased by Clubul Sportiv Universitatea Craiova – is destined to last for a long time.

External attacker, who loves dribbling and assisting his teammates but without ever lacking the necessary predisposition to sacrifice in the defensive phase, Mihăilă in three and a half seasons with Parma Calcio has collected 84 appearances (between Serie A, Serie B and Coppa Italia), highlighting his qualities and his talents: in the last three Serie B championships only three forwards (born after January 1, 2000) have been able to score at least 10 goals and provide at least 5 assists. Valentin is one of these three forwards (10 goals and 6 assists), together with Sebastiano Esposito (10 goals + 6 assists) and our Adrian Benedyczak (24 goals + 5 assists). Despite a period of integration conditioned by some injuries, Valentin has demonstrated a strong attachment to the Club, the city and the fans. Engaged in the European championship in Germany with the Romanian selection, wearing the shirt of The tricolors He has made 23 appearances and scored 4 goals so far. And on Tuesday he will be involved in the round of 16 match against Holland.

His last season with Parma was his best in terms of performance and efficiency: Valentin was involved in 8 rets (6 goals and 2 assists), achieving the same result he had achieved by adding his previous two seasons. Today, four years later, he returns to Serie A with the Parma shirt: a Serie A that Valentin strongly wanted to conquer with these colours.

These are the statements of Valentin Mihailacollected from the official website of the ducal club: «When I returned to Parma, after the experience in Serie A with Atalanta, I said to myself that my greatest goal was to return to Serie A with this shirt, with these colours, with these people. Today we returned to the top flight and I fulfilled this wish, now I focus on the fact that we want to stay where we have arrived for a long time. With Parma, of course. This is why I am happy that after months of dialogue with my agents and the Club, we have found a wonderful agreement. I thank my agents, in fact, but also the Directors, President Kyle J. Krause and all my teammates with the technical staff. I’m happy to be able to continue my experience in Parma because I feel I still have to demonstrate and give a lot to our fans. When I experienced my most difficult moment, when things seemed to be going badly, I felt everyone’s trust in me and a great desire to believe in my work. This was the strength of my growth and my restart.”

The statement of the Sports Director Mauro Pederzoli: «Valentin’s journey with Parma Calcio is a long one. And if we have arrived at this signature – we read on the company’s website -, it is because the boy and the Club believe very much in this relationship. He showed that he believes in this shirthe has settled in very well with the city and the fans, he wants to stay here to demonstrate his great value. And he wants to do it in Serie A. We are happy about this and we are aware that Valentin can make a decisive contribution to the path we have started together with the technical staff and the team”.
