HDE, Province and Municipalities evaluate pre-emption

TRENTO. The public shareholders of the financial company that controls Dolomiti Energia, FIN.DE – Autonomous Province of Trento and the Municipalities of Trento and Rovereto – are evaluating the opportunity to exercise the right of pre-emption on 40% of the subsidiary HDE (hydroelectric sector) owned by the Australian fund Macquaire. For this reason, the administrations with the president Maurizio Fugatti and the mayors Franco Ianeselli e Giulia Robol they are working on an ad hoc policy document, in light of the strategic role that the Dolomiti Energia Group will be able to play in the future for the growth of the Trentino economy.

The aim is to give FIN.DE, as their representative, the mandate to ask the board of directors of Dolomiti Energia Holding to proceed with an assessment of the economic-financial sustainability (also through an independent analysis) of the operation. Operation that should not be aimed at permanently increasing the public presence in the Dolomiti Energia Group, but rather aim to involve new partners – functional to the diversification of the business – or the expansion of the geographical scope of operations and more generally to the growth of the group. The other conditions that the public shareholders intend to set concern the financing methods, which must not modify the ownership structures of the public shareholders and the distribution of dividends, which must remain at an adequate level.
