Benevento

Miwa Energia Cestistica Benevento is pleased to announce the addition of prestigious new members to our technical staff for the 2024/2025 season. These new coaches will bring a wealth of experience and expertise that will significantly contribute to the development of our club. Davide Mirra has been appointed Head of the Youth Sector. Davide has been coaching practically since he was 18 years old, starting his journey at Basket Sant’Agnese, where he also played from the age of five. At Sant’Agnese, Davide coached minibasket, youth teams and for a few years also the senior team. Since 2016, in addition to Sant’Agnese, he has also coached at Città dei Ragazzi (Telese), covering similar roles. Riccarda Monda takes on the role of Head of Mini Basketball. Riccarda has a past as a player with Caserta, Castellammare and Benevento and an instructor since she was 16. She is co-founder, together with her husband, of Kioko Basket, a virtuous company in the world of mini basketball that has introduced about 2000 children to basketball since 2003. Riccarda will also continue to lead Kioko Basket, carrying forward a project of collaboration of excellence with Miwa Energia Cestistica Benevento. We are also excited to welcome Luigi De Martino, Nicola Gagliardi and Andrea Murolo who will join our technical team. Luigi De Martino is a well-known face of Benevento basketball, known and respected for his commitment and significant contribution to the development of local basketball. His experience and dedication will be a precious resource for our company.

Nicola Gagliardi counts among his most important experiences the last year at NPC Rieti as assistant coach to Francesco Ponticiello and head coach of the Under19 Gold; he was head coach of the Under15 Eccellenza and the Under19 Eccellenza with Pallacanestro Biella, in addition to winning a regional title with the Under17 Gold and contributing to the salvation in C Unica. He worked in the youth sector of Germani Brescia (Serie A) and Virtus Roma, with whom he participated in several national finals. Andrea Murolo, in particular, marks a welcome return to the Miwa Energia Cestistica Benevento family. Andrea has already been part of our team as a player, contributing significantly to the year of promotion to Serie B in the 2022/2023 season. Andrea will cover the role of athletic trainer of the youth sector, given his skills, as well as coach. We are certain that his experience and his bond with the club will be an added value for the entire team. With these new entries, Miwa Energia Cestistica Benevento renews its commitment to investing in high-quality human resources, convinced that the success of a sports club depends on the professionalism and passion of its members.
