“The Shoulder: lights and shadows”, this is the title of the conference organized by the Order of Physiotherapists of Reggio Calabria, strongly supported by the President of the Order Dr. Marco De Luca and by Dr. Mario Marzo delegate “Training and credits ECM OFI RC” and at the same time part of the Regional Delegation for SICSeG (Italian Scientific Society of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery). The Conference will take place on 22 June 2024 at the Grand Hotel Excelsior in Reggio Calabria.
The event, organized through a conspicuous and long-lasting collaboration between the President Dr. De Luca M. and the training delegate Dr. Marzo M., will see the participation, as speakers, of expert doctors and physiotherapists from the best universities, researchers known not only on the national but also international scene who, thanks to their interventions, will make the conference an event of the highest scientific and professional profile.
The conference is divided into three sessions, the topic of “Anatomy and biomechanics of the shoulder” will be explored, the problems related to the “Frozen Shoulder” will be addressed and finally the topic of pathologies affecting the “Rotator Cuff” will be addressed. The event is sponsored by SICSeG (Italian Society of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery), by FNOFI (National Federation of Physiotherapists Orders), by ASP Reggio Calabria and by the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria.
The event is aimed at all physiotherapists registered with the Order of Reggio Calabria and will also be an extracurricular activity for third-year students of the Physiotherapy Course of the Magna Grecia University of Catanzaro.
This Conference was organized so that it can create a positive impact on the territory in terms of training, in fact, for all participants, the release of ECM Credits (Continuing Medical Education) is expected, with which health professionals demonstrate continuous updating in order to be able to respond to the needs of patients, the needs of the Health Service and their own professional development.
