Spring: the sun returns, the swallows return and the Historic Golden Wheel also returns with the cheerful brigade of Scuderia Veltro, busy as usual in organizing the next edition of the re-enactment of the “terrible rally”, interpreted as an event for car of historical collectible interest and which this year blows out its 27th candles in Cuneo on 7th and 8th September.
Since good habits are never lost, the center of the event is confirmed in the central Piazza Galimberti, but this year there are big news for all fans of the motoring world. First of all, precisely to involve the greatest number of enthusiasts, this year the formula of the proven event will be developed over two days full of events: on Saturday, after the successful general rehearsal last year, ample space will be reserved for motorcyclists with the meeting in the morning and departure of the tourist tour reserved for them; the cars will gather in the square in the afternoon, with technical checks, a visit to the historic city center reserved for participants and then an evening preview of the skill tests, which will award the “Sandro Dutto” Trophy, established this year in memory of one of the founders of the reborn Scuderia Veltro Storica.
Sunday will be entirely reserved for the performance of what can now rightfully be considered a classic of the regularity events on pressure switches, with departure in the morning for the Cuneo Langhe and return to the capital’s parlor in the afternoon for the awards ceremonies and greetings to the participants.
