Palazzolo sull’Oglio. Stage, music, stars. Music, energy, rhythm. Sounds of the present and sounds of the future: for the second consecutive year Darsena Pop by Eatinero – in the heart of Parco Metelli, in Palazzolo sull’Oglio (Brescia) – returns to host the final stages of Arezzo Wave Lombardiathe regional version of the longest-running Italian “scouting” contest dedicated to new emerging talents.
In fact, from 1987 to today, the contest – now in its 36th edition – with its international vocation and eclectic attitude it has attracted over 50 thousand registered groups and artists, ranging across a wide range of musical genres, from rock to pop, from electronic to folk. Many talents have been discovered year after year: from Afterhours to La Representative di Lista to Piqued Jacks, the indie rock band that represented San Marino at Eurovision 2023.
Specifically, the first semi-final evening is scheduled for Friday 7 June (it will be repeated the following week, Friday 14 June): on each evening four projects between bands and solo artists will perform, but only two will have the opportunity to access the next phase. The winner of the Best Band-Lombardia 2024 title will be able to participate in the national final of the Arezzo Wave Contest, “the first station for future success”, the details of which will be announced soon on the arezzowave.com website and related social channels.
Performing during the evening of June 7th will be: Scigheraa soul/r&b project by Giulia Cozzi, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist; Luminola four-piece band from Brescia: Alessandro Pini on guitar, Dani Filky on bass/vocals, Flavio Morotti on snare drums and Santo on magic keyboards; Yodaman, Neapolitan rapper, producer and record producer, is considered a pioneer of Italian grime music and “Frances and the mute”a duo that seems like a trio, with a powerful, full sound, with an Italian heart.
