Davis Cup, promotion fades: biancazzurri defeated 2-1 by Armenia

Almost promotion for the white and blue team engaged in Tirana for the challenges of group IV of the Davis Cup, Europe zone.
In the promotion playoff match against Armenia the blue and white lost 2-1, having to say goodbye to their good intentions of returning to group III.

In the first singles Filippo Tommesani fought but lost with a double 6-4 to Avanesyan. A fairly easy victory, however, for Marco De Rossi, who won 6-0 6-2 over Khachatryan.
The doubles match was then decisive, which saw De Rossi and Tommesani playing in the first set, lost 6-3, and giving in more quickly in the second, taken home by the Armenian pair with a 6-1 partial.
