Barella renewal: contract with Inter until 2029

Inter have announced that they have reached an agreement for the extension of Barella’s contract: the midfielder born in 1997 will remain with the Nerazzurri until 30 June 2029. The coveted renewal takes Barella to heights that no Italian reaches in Serie A. The agreement he will reach 7 million, including (easy) bonuses per season, and he was already ready for weeks.

The Sardinian midfielder had been in negotiations for some time for the extension of the contract which would expire in just over two years, on 30 June 2026. Nicolò is currently with the Azzurri in Germany for the European Championship although injured. He will miss the first match, the debut of Spalletti’s Italy, the one on Saturday against Albania.

The midfielder then commented on the renewal on Inter’s official website: “Today I am extremely happy – it is read – and excited to sign the extension of my contract with Inter for so many years. I never had any doubts: I believe in this project and, above all, I wanted this signing to arrive before the European championship. I am really proud to be able to defend the colors of this great Club for a long time to come. My desire is to continue on the path of success that we have undertaken in recent years with the group and the coach. We want to grow more and more to give more joy to our fans. We experienced unforgettable moments with them, and I am sure that many more will come. Now I’m focused on the European championship with Italy, we’ll see each other soon when the season resumes.
