Grosseto: Finally also in Grosseto the qualifying courses for teaching activated with the University of Siena. The activities can be followed at the headquarters of the Grosseto University Centre. Registrations expire on July 1st, courses will begin on August 19th 2024 and will end in time to guarantee participation in the next PNRR competition.

At the Grosseto University Center you can follow the following courses: Lower secondary school

A022 Italian, History and Geography in lower secondary schools (140 places)

A028 Mathematics and Sciences (127 places)

Secondary school

A012 Literary disciplines 2nd degree institutes (26 places)

It will also be possible to follow most of the lessons of the Latin and Greek competition classes.

SThey are also open at the University of Siena enrollments in initial university training courses for the qualification to teach in secondary schools. The seventeen planned courses, which involve as many competition classes, will start in the second half of August and will be held partly remotely (approximately 50% of the total hours) and partly in the classroom in Siena, with the possibility of also following from classrooms of the Grosseto University Centre.

Remote lessons in the so-called common area will begin on August 19th: 144 hours to be dedicated to teaching psycho-pedagogical, socio-anthropological, linguistic and digital skills, which will take place over the weekend during the month of September. Another 96 hours of disciplinary teaching will be held in the afternoon during the month of September: some of the planned courses will be held in the Siena headquarters, others in the Arezzo Campus, while some courses and even entire courses can be followed via distance learning in the classrooms of the Grosseto University Center.

Also during the month of September, school internship activities will begin: for those who complete the entire 60 CFU course, this means another 180 hours to spend in one of the affiliated schools, obviously also in Grosseto and its province.

At least for this first year of the courses we can talk about a real race against time, given that the government has asked Italian universities to create the courses by 2024, in order to allow those who obtain the qualification to participate in the next PNRR competition. From the next calendar year the courses will become one of the ordinary activities of the University, which has equipped itself with a permanent University center for the training of teaching staff.

Please note that places for each path are limited and that a ranking will be drawn up on the basis of criteria established by the ministry. The registration cost is 100 euros, while participation costs 1900 euros for those who complete the entire 60 CFU course (university credits) and 1500 euros for those interested in the 30 CFU course. The final exam , which has an enabling value and involves, among other things, the simulation of an educational activity, will have an additional cost of 150 euros.

To participate, you must submit your application by 12:00 on 1 July 2024, via the PICA portal at https://pica.cineca.it/login.

These are the competition classes starting at the University of Siena: A-11, A-12, A-13, A-18, A-19, A-20, A-22, AA-24, AB- 24, AA-25, AB-25, A-26, A-27, A-28, A-47, A-50, BA-02.
