Elderly people killed in Fano, autopsy shows brutal violence

FANO, JUNE 26 – Violent killings, aggravated by cruelty. These elements emerge from the autopsies carried out today on the bodies of Giuseppe and Luisa Ricci, the over seventy-year-old couple from Fano killed by their son Luca, 50 years old, a self-confessed criminal and now in cell in the Villa Fastiggi prison. The health workers appointed by the prosecutor’s office to ascertain the manner of the killings established that the murderer strangled her mother by grabbing her from behind with a charging cable from her phone, killing her in a short time. Then he went to his father’s room, who was sleeping since it was around 2 in the morning. The mother was in the kitchen because she wasn’t feeling well and had called her son who lived upstairs, where her minor son was also sleeping, asking him to measure his blood pressure. The time to go down and decide to kill the parents. In fact, after strangling his mother, Luca Ricci went into the bedroom to find his father sleeping. He probably took a hammer and started hitting him violently on the head but it didn’t knock him out. The elderly parent reacted by trying to block the blows (he has signs of blows in his arms and hands) and then succumbed to at least 11 blows from the hammer which left him no escape. However, the agony lasted several minutes, leaving him time to understand everything. Meanwhile, tomorrow there will be a hearing to validate the arrest of the 50-year-old who is charged with aggravated voluntary multiple homicide. The motive remains linked to money, which Luca Ricci was desperately looking for in those days thinking he could find it in his parents’ house. A09 (ANSA).
