What will the Iacovone of Taranto be like
A first step forward, awaiting the official coverage of the Via del Mare in Lecce, was taken with the stadium Iacovone of Taranto.
The rendering of theplant it was shown at the Services Conference on 25 June, which was attended by around twenty technicians.
As reported by Corriere, the overall cost for the total restyling of the structure it will be worth sixty million euros, from the initial eighteen, and it will take 18 months to achieve it.
The construction site will open between the end of November and the beginning of December 2024 but, reassures the President of Taranto Jupiter, at least for the 2024/25 season, home games will be able to take place regularly at Iacovone:
“Regarding the possibility of playing during the works, we are in contact with Minister Abodi who reassured us that for this season we will play at Iacovone with around ten thousand seats.”
In reality, the problem could arise in the following season, in which the work should be “heavier”.
The works, however, will have to deliver to the city one stadium modern, whose capacity will be 21 thousand spectators. The new Iacovone it will be entirely covered and will have a restaurant, bar and a large press room.
