Love yes, but for the brick: “House at first sight” is confirmed as one of the most followed programs on Real Time (from Monday to Friday at 8.20 pm). The six protagonists, guests of the BCT, the Benevento Film and TV Festival, were awarded by the director Antonio Frascadore for their ability to reach the viewer by mixing lightness and seriousness. The three Milanese (Ida, Gianluca and Mariana) and their Roman colleagues (Nadia, Corrado and Blasco) have a very different approach and compete to find the dream home of their respective clients.
They told Leggo what they look for and what they avoid. “I’ve always had a weakness for haunted houses,” Nadia confesses, “but when I have to recommend an essential aspect of a property to a buyer, I don’t go for legends but look at the outside space.” Corrado also started out as a child by peeking into the buildings in the neighborhood: “My cousin made us believe she was talking to spirits and took us to these abandoned construction sites on Fridays. I played with them, but in reality I was incredibly scared.” Blasco discovered the beauty of apartments by starting to look at them from afar, “at sailing school in Ventotene.” Mariana has a weakness for “any type of walk-in shower,” Ida focuses on “brightness.”
Buying a home isn’t just a puzzle, but one of life’s most important steps, and these six professionals help viewers navigate through the real estate market. The touch of genius is the competition between the two lifestyles and sales. «We have the real “cazzimma” – Mariana specifies – even if, she jokes shortly after, “we lack Corrado’s sympathy”. When it comes to advice, however, Gianluca is practical: «When you see a house it is always better to be assisted by a serious agent or a surveyor who provides all the various documents needed». Is there an “ideal agent”? «The one who listens to the customer’s wishes – replies Ida – and realizes them, remaining close to him in what remains one of the most important journeys of our lives».
