A certified email sent to the Municipality of Faenza to explain their intentions for the second stage of the Tour de France on Sunday 30 June from Cesenatico to Bologna. The Borgo alluvionato and Via Ponte Romano committees in Faenza organized an event entitled “Tour of Faenza flooded – The hardships of the flood victims of Faenza on the Alps and Pyrenees of bureaucracy”.

The t-shirts and the bike ride

Participants will be identified by a yellow t-shirt with the words “angry flood victims”. They will do it a non-competitive cycling tour from 8am to 8.30am through the streets of the flooded city of Faenza with a final meeting in Piazzale Sercognani where they will be waiting for the arrival of the Tour de France. One hundred participants are expected. “Everything – they clarify – will take place in compliance with laws, regulations and provisions of the authorities. A welcome to the Tour de France, to its history and its advertising caravan, which give the opportunity to remind the authorities, press and TV, of the unresolved problems of the people of Faenza and the flooded Romagna”.
