A calculation to demonstrate how small the increase is turns into a surreal scene in the city council.

The opposition is pressing. You can say that the average increase is 6% in waste bills in 2024. Everyone has rough calculations and so here is 7.50%, no 15%, actually, up to 40% for some activities.
Perhaps to try to explain to everyone that the outlay will have less impact and that the minority’s forecasts are too catastrophic, Angiani has thought carefully about the practical. Croissant and ham, bread and side dishes.
“Taking a bar measuring one hundred square meters as an example,” he observes, “the estimated increase from 2023 to 2024 is 8.78%, or 101 euros more per year.”
How to bear the higher cost? Simple. “Let’s imagine that the bar remains open 300 days a year and that it sells 20 croissants a day – explains Angiani – even if I hope it sells more, it means spreading the 101 euros over 6 thousand croissants. For an increase, if you wanted to make it fall on the croissants, equal to just 1.7 cents per piece”. From the expensive Tari to the inexpensive croissants.
Same size of one hundred square meters, there is also a solution for a grocery store. A multi-license. “The increase in Tari is calculated at 11.46% – continues Angiani – or 48 euros per year. Always over 300 days, if every day he sold twenty one-hundred-gram packages of ham, the increase would be 8 thousandths of a euro per 100 grams of ham”. Which would be just a little more expensive for the customer.
