There is the sea and there is the mountain, there is tradition and there is the identity handed down for centuries on the lands dominated, influenced and distinguished over 2500 years ago by Kroton and Sybaris, in the special proposal that the chefs Pythagoreansamong the best ambassadors of Calabrian cuisine beyond regional borders (led by Salvatore Murano and with Luigi Quintieri, Vincenzo Murano, Gaetano Alia, Paolo Caridi, Matteo Mollo, Ercole Villirillo, Enzo Barbieri and Antonio Franzè), plus Pietro Bloise and the brigade of the professional hotel institute ofIIS Majorana, presented on the occasion of the inauguration of OLYMPUS – THE LUNCH OF THE GODS, for the 30th anniversary of the record-breaking water park.

The new area, inaugurated with an explosion of quality show cooking last week, has in fact become the experiential and also pedagogical heart of the entire Park, the true added value that since 1995 it could not better enrich the ever energetic contents and dreams of an undertaking and an adventure which, through the commitment of its pioneers of yesterday and today, is itself becoming epic.

Making pop and for all the great myths of the gods and heroes of ancient Greece, those that entire generations of the past studied and imagined only in Latin and Greek books. There was also this ingredient in the spark of this very successful tourism experiment which today, thirty years later, we define as experiential.

And to this ambition, achieved year after year with the introduction and success of unbeaten record-breaking games and always dedicated to the undisputed protagonists of the Iliad and the Odyssey, we now also add the entirely culinary pleasure of that gastronomy in homage to which, for the first time in history, a patent was established in Sybaris, the first note of which there is ancient trace; a narrative founded and acquired precisely for this reason among the Distinctive Identity Markers of our region.

It is also in this framework that Olympus has obtained the Blue Sticker from the Association of Italian Nutritionists in the Kitchen to relaunch the commitment to information on healthy, seasonal and authentic local cuisine. And it is with this further injection of beauty and pleasure that this thirty-year oasis of fun in nature will continue to welcome above all families and children from all over Southern Italy.
