The 2024 President’s Cruise will stop in Lerici tomorrow, the cruise that will celebrate Royal Caribbean’s loyal passengers back in Europe on board the renovated Oasis of the Seas. Once a year the US cruise company, in fact, organizes a cruise for its most loyal customers registered with the Crown & Anchor Society who will be able to set sail with the president and CEO Michael Bayley and other Royal Caribbean executives, to dive into a sea of exclusive events, live performances and incredible surprises. Departing from Barcelona on 23 June 2024, the ship will reach the port of La Spezia tomorrow.
From 1pm to sunset the village and seafront will be visited by around four thousand cruise passengers who will be able to discover the beauty of the Lerici area, appreciated among the most evocative tourist destinations in the world, also thanks to the important recognition received last year from Untwo (World Tourism Organization , a specialized agency of the United Nations) as Best Tourism Village and the incisive communication campaigns that have also seen Lerici protagonist of international advertising spots for Birra Moretti and Fiat (ready to return!)
From the port of La Spezia, which has now become a reference cruise hub in the Mediterranean, a continuous private ferry service, which will alternate approximately every 15 minutes in arrivals and departures, will therefore take travelers to discover our gulf with the main objective of immersing them in Italian everyday life, in the real life of a small town on the Ligurian coast, also fictionalized and colored by the recent Disney success “Luca”.
Music in Piazza Garibaldi and Rotonda Vassallowith performances by dancers in costume and flag-wavers to welcome tourists who will stroll through the alleys, browsing through the shops, stopping in the bars and restaurants, discovering the Castle, visiting the beaches, and then setting sail on the last ferry around 7pm .
