It’s the goal of “If you come up, you don’t pay for the first hour”, the initiative that the traders and operators of the Upper Bergamo Shop Community have chosen to relaunch their business. From July 1st to August 31st, in fact, those who choose to go shopping or stop in the public establishments of the medieval village of the Orobic capital, participating in the promotion, you will receive a discount voucher on your receipt.
The amount will be equivalent at the one hour parking fee in the three car parks of Via Tre Armi, San Vigilio Funicular and Parking Fara on a spend of no less than 20 euros made throughout the day. With this proposal, the operators aim to amplify and optimize as much as possible the information on the road access methods towards the Upper Town and on the use offered by the various infrastructures present. For this reason, the launch of the initiative will be accompanied by a social campaign on Facebook and Instagram, accompanied at the same time by the distribution of information material in participating commercial activities.
“We immediately realized – explains the president of the Community of Shops Maurizio Pirovano – how the recent traffic and parking measures in the Upper Town have been poorly received by the people. A sort of fear of the ZTLs, of the possible fines for the transit not to mention the discontent over the expensive parking… Our idea aims to clear away possible misunderstandings, first of all that the Upper Town has become inaccessible”.
For get the discount voucher, which cannot be combined with others and therefore can only be requested once a day, the cost must exceed 20 euros. At the time of payment, you must inform the merchant that you have parked in one of the three affiliated facilities, by showing the coupon issued at the entrance to the car park.
