The second meeting met on Friday 21 June in Senigallia Lilac table from the Marchea meeting open to all Lille municipalities in the region to take stock of accessibility and inclusion in tourism.

The meeting, hosted for the second time in the Council Room of the Municipality of Senigallia, the most populous of the Lilac ones in the Marchesaw the participation of numerous institutional representatives.

Accessibility and inclusion: a constant commitment for the Lille Municipalities After the ritual greetings, the meeting opened with the presentation of OSSMED, Observatory for Linguistic and Cultural Mediation, by its President Carlo Nofri. OSSMED, a solid Fermo company and consolidated partner of Bandiera Lilla, has been committed to accessibility for deaf people for years.

Professor Nofri illustrated the association’s activities to the Municipalities present, with particular focus on the services and web solutions created to facilitate the reception of deaf people in accommodation facilities. OSSMED’s flagship is the new OPEN CHANNEL web TV, which will be operational soon and which will be accessible to everyone, with particular attention to people with disabilities. Sharing experiences and good practices This is followed by a moment of sharing by the Municipalities present, who brought ongoing projects and problems relating to accessibility and inclusion to the table’s attention.

President Bazzano expressed great satisfaction for the participation and commitment of the Municipalities: “It is clear how accessibility and inclusion have become central elements for many municipalities in the Marche region, who integrate them into their projects and activities, even if not strictly linked to accessible tourism. Each Lille municipality has initiated noteworthy solutions, sometimes ingenious and brilliant, which deserved to be shared at this table. Our goal is to create a collaborative network at a regional level and each meeting confirms the constant growth of accessibility and inclusion in our Municipalities”.

Regional tenders and future projects At the end of the meeting, President Bazzano explained two regional tenders aimed at strengthening the reception capacity of the Marche municipalitiesreiterating the availability of Bandiera Lilla a support the Lille Municipalities in the preparation of projects. The meeting ended with a renewed climate of collaboration, with the certainty that it will soon lead to new and important results for the growth of accessible tourism in the Marche. Thanks to all the Lilla Municipalities of the Marche region, even to those who, despite not being able to be present, expressed their willingness to share materials and ideas.

President Bello appreciated the work carried out by the institutions present and hoped for greater commitment on these issues of local, national and European interest.

The strengthening of the network between Italian and European municipalities means a lot and on this issue the coordination and support of the Association’s projects linked to the Lille flag becomes indispensable.”
