The Padua prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation for manslaughter into the death of Vera Slepoj, the well-known psychologist found lifeless in her home on June 21st. The professional’s family would not believe the hypothesis that an illness killed her, as emerged immediately after the news of her death spread. Slepoj’s body was found last Friday morning on the sofa in her apartment in the center of Padua. As reported by the Corriere del Veneto, the family presented a complaint to the prosecutor’s office the day after her death, requesting investigations into the writer’s sudden death.

The family’s complaint

Slepoj had recently turned 70 and would have been in good health. His family supports him. And her friends who had recently seen her reiterate this. She told them that she felt “in great shape”, reports the Corriere. Although she had had some small health problems in recent months. What acquaintances and people close to Slepoj tend to exclude is that the woman had ever spoken of illnesses, nor of needing to carry out checks. The investigation by the Padua prosecutor’s office has currently been opened against unknown persons. The path of the investigation will be clearer after the autopsy, already scheduled for tomorrow 26 June. After which the authorization for her funeral can arrive. Until then, the family has decided to remain silent.
