Rain of euros

A rain of euros will arrive in the coffers of Lombardy’s parks to carry out interventions to protect them. The Lombardy Region has, in fact, decided to allocate 3.8 million euros.

On the initiative of the councilor for Territory and Green Systems Gianluca Comazzi, The Lombardy Region allocates 3.8 million euros for projects to protect Lombardy’s parks. The proposal, approved yesterday, Monday, by the Regional Council, envisages assigning non-repayable contributions to managing bodies for the implementation of extraordinary maintenance, recovery and redevelopment of the natural heritage, offices and existing infrastructures.

With this important allocation we want to safeguard the environment and the natural resources of the territory, guaranteeing and encouraging the management efficiency of the parks. Lombardy’s most precious heritage is made up of its green lungs, with their variety of flora and fauna: we therefore have a duty to preserve these areas, in the interest of all the inhabitants.

declared councilor Comazzi

The resources will be disbursed on the basis of an allocation plan following the presentation of projects that must meet specific criteria.
In particular, with these allocations the Region aims to encourage the renaturalization or conservation of biodiversity, as well as the implementation of silvicultural and hydraulic-forestry interventions.

As regards the Adda-Martesana area, the South Milan Agricultural Park will receive a contribution of over 256 thousand euros, while the Valle del Lambro Park and the Adda North Park will be able to receive 118 thousand euros each.
