AGI – Weather conditions still unstable in Italy due to a ‘cold drop’ moving over the central Mediterranean. It also maintains a relatively cool climate with temperatures on average or even slightly below. However, the next few days will see a gradual attenuation of the instability thanks above all to the rise of a small anticyclonic promontory of African origin.
This will lead to an increase in temperatures with a peak probably in the last weekend of June when values will quickly rise to 8-10 degrees above average. Latest updates from the Italian Weather Center which however show a very fast heat wave with the first days of July which could see the arrival of a pocket of cooler air.

NORTH
Today in the morning overcast skies with scattered precipitation. In the afternoon widespread instability, with intense phenomena in the central-eastern Alps and the northern Apennines. In the evening, bad weather conditions renew with rain in the Alpine and pre-Alpine sectors, dry variability elsewhere.
IN THE CENTER
In the morning irregularly cloudy skies with rain on the Tyrrhenian sectors. In the afternoon, increasing instability in internal areas, little cloudy elsewhere. In the evening, residual rain in the Apennine sectors, clear or slightly cloudy elsewhere.
IN THE SOUTH AND ON THE ISLANDS
In the morning irregular cloud cover with some rain between Calabria and Sicily. In the afternoon, more rainfall is expected between Campania and Basilicata, unstable in Sardinia. In the evening, precipitation persists in Campania, improving elsewhere with large clearings. Minimum and maximum temperatures stable or rising.

In the morning the weather is still unstable with scattered rain, dry variability in the North-West. In the afternoon, thermo-convective instability with thunderstorms scattered across the Alps and northern Apennines and locally encroachment on the plains. In the evening the weather will improve with residual phenomena in the North-East.
In the center
Unstable weather in the morning with scattered rain, drier in the Tyrrhenian sectors. In the afternoon, increasing instability in inland areas with heavy showers and thunderstorms, especially in the Apennines and moving on the Adriatic side. In the evening, residual rain between Marche and Abruzzo, clear or slightly cloudy elsewhere.
IN THE SOUTH AND ON THE ISLANDS
In the morning stable weather with clear or slightly cloudy skies, except for local rain on the coasts of Molise and northern Puglia. Increasing instability in the afternoon with thunderstorms in inland areas and moving on the Adriatic side. In the evening, residual precipitation in the Adriatic regions, clear or partly cloudy elsewhere. Minimum temperatures stable or slightly decreasing and maximum temperatures rising across the entire peninsula.
