Cultural Heritage and Pnrr, the comment from the CEO of Terre d’Aristeo Lamiranda: «Against depopulation, contribute to local employment»
There are 66 small business projects in the Lucanian villages financed by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage in implementation of the Public Notice of 12 May 2023 for the support of entrepreneurial initiatives carried out for the implementation of local cultural and social regeneration projects of small historic villages in the scope of the Pnrr, Mission 1. The resources assigned are on average 70 thousand euros. In detail, 22 projects in Rapone, 18 in Ginestra, 11 in Castelmezzano, 9 in Accettura and 6 in Pietrapertosa (out of 2,779 entrepreneurial initiatives in Italian villages). «The ranking of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage is certainly a useful provision but – is the comment of Saverio Lamiranda, Ad Terre of Aristeo – suffers from the limited nature of the companies supported (66 in Basilicata ed.), of the selected villages (Accettura, Castelmezzano, Ginestra, Pietrapertosa, Rapone) and the aid available (from 20 thousand to 75 thousand euros) and therefore it certainly cannot be considered exhaustive or in any case sufficient”. «It only serves to reaffirm that the repopulation and regeneration of villages cannot do without small and medium-sized businesses, especially individual and family businesses here, which must be put in a position to be able to contribute to the promotion of local economies and employment – Lamiranda consoled -. In addition to supporting businesses, it becomes necessary to support the District, a public-economic-social system of decentralized management within which the presence of Local Authorities and the participation of the Private component are essential conditions for the effectiveness of its action, and for this reason particular attention must be paid to investment proposals relating to the tourist reception system essential for the repopulation of our villages”.
