The writer from Lamezia participates with her third novel “The woman with love/bitter in the mouth”
“The woman with the love/bitter taste in her mouth”. The third novel by the writer and painter from Lamezia Mafalda Daniele is among the finalist works of the 2024 “Bukowski – Unpublished works of ordinary folly” award; on June 29th during the awards ceremony in Viareggio the names of the winners and the jury’s mentions will be announced.
Mafalda Daniele was born and lives in Lamezia Terme. He obtained two high school diplomas and certificates of participation in numerous professional courses. A multifaceted artist, she writes and paints. He published his first novel “Una donna sola” (Europa Edizioni 2020), a finalist work for the 2019 Bukowski Prize in Viareggio. His second novel “Il Regno Nuovo” (Giovane Holden Edizioni) was released in September 2022, a finalist work for the Giovane Holden 2021 prize and a work awarded by the jury at the Casentino Prize in Poppi (AR) in 2023. Two of his short plays on violence gender were also brought to the stage. Over the years you have created several canvases, two of which “Bipolar disorder? One can only see clearly with the heart” And “The inner swing” were awarded as third place in the Community Award in the national competition People in Mind in 2020 and 2021 respectively.
Furthermore, his work “Autumn” was launched in video projection at MEAM (European Museum of Modern Art) of Barcelona with a lithograph of his painting exhibited in the same museum. He received an award for artistic merit from Luxemburg Art for several of his works and in September 2023 his work by him “Only one key for every heart” was exhibited at the first edition of Sanremo Art Expo. In June 2023 he participated in the exhibition “Art in your hands” (second edition) in Lamezia Terme. In February 2024 he exhibited his paintings and his novels in the headquarters of the Samarcanda Association in Lamezia Terme. Last April, his third unpublished novel, “The woman with love/bitter in the mouth” received the Honorable Mention award from the jury of the “La Ginestra” Literary Prize in Florence.
In this regard, it should be noted that the jury published in an anthology of the awarded authors, a selection of three pages taken from Mafalda Daniele’s novel with a critical note at the bottom.
