Vittoria Ferdinandi, the candidate from Perugia’s Campo Largo, wins the mayor’s seat. She and she is the first woman to hold this position in the Umbrian capital. With 52.12% Ferdinandi won, beating Margherita Scoccia who stopped at 47.88%.

Here are his first words after the election: «We have performed another miracle but I have never had doubts because I know and deeply feel the soul of this city. I knew that Perugia would not give in to the arrogance of power, hatred and anger but he would have chosen those who for four months have put citizens back at the center of a politics based on hope. It’s an incredible achievement. Unfortunately they leave us with an unstitched city because in recent months our adversaries have done everything.”
Ballot elections, turnout slightly declining. Perugia at 48.58%, Foligno 43.72%, Gubbio 41.29, Bastia 44.45 and Orvieto 48.82
Vittoria Ferdinandi, who is she?
Vittoria Ferdinandi, 37 years old, born in Perugia, ran for Mayor in her city, supported by the Alliance for Victory which brought together the parties of the so-called broad field, that is, all the left and center-left parties united. She trained as a clinical psychologist and yes she is theregraduate in Philosophy and Technical and Psychological Sciences. SIn recent years it has been involved in caring for the most vulnerable, with an inclusion project that restores the right to work to people suffering from mental disorders.
Knight of the Republic
In 2021, thanks to her initiative when shortly before Covid she opened a successful restaurant in the historic center where people with mental health problems work, she was nominated Knight of Merit from Sergio Mattarella.
