An international competition arrives in which AI is not scary, on the contrary: with Reply it becomes a tool for creativity and inclusion of the new generations in the production of videos and films

Artificial intelligence arrives at the Venice Film Festival. During the famous event for enthusiasts and professionals, scheduled from 28 August to 7 September, the winner of the Reply AI Film Festival will also be presented, an international competition open to all creatives wishing to try their hand at creating a short film through the use of Artificial Intelligence tools. The theme of the event is “Synthetic Stories, Human Hearts”, to enhance the encounter between human talent and Artificial Intelligence, putting art, creativity and technology at the centre. – video

AN EXCEPTIONAL JURY – Reply, an international group specialized in the creation of new business models enabled by AI and Digital Media, presents the jury that will be called upon to evaluate and select the best short films of the Reply AI Film Festival. Adam Kulick, Caleb & Shelby Ward on the jury , Denise Negri, Filippo Rizzante, Flavio Natalia, Julien Vallée and Eve Duhamel, Monica Riccioni, Paul Trillo and Rob Minkoff, co-director of The Lion King, released in cinemas on June 15, 1994, 30 years ago. These are producers, artists and filmmakers who will evaluate the competing short films based on creativity, production quality and use of artificial intelligence.

HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS – The jury will select the short films which will be entered in the competition by 1 July 2024, via the aiff.reply.com platform. The criteria by which the short films will be evaluated are: creativity, craftsmanship, and the impact of Artificial Intelligence. The ten best shorts will be presented at an event organized by Reply and Mastercard, during the 81st Venice International Film Festival, where the three overall winners will be announced.
